1. Choose dates and destinations
In addition to choosing the preferred yacht for your trip, a fundamental first step is to define a date range along with the region in which you would like to sail.
Remember that charter yachts usually have different cruising destinations depending on the season (summer and winter), hence it will not always be possible to find your favourite yacht in your preferred destination for your dates. If that happens, do not be discouraged. We will put you in touch with charter yachts that are not listed on our website and help you find a better alternative.
2. Let us know your requirements
Knowing and understanding your needs is the second step in helping you plan the perfect luxury yachting vacation.
Bearing in mind your main necessities for the trip and what your budget is, you may even have already decided on the region or destinations to be sailed, the type of yacht you would like (sailing or motor yacht) and the amenities you would like on board (e.g. a jacuzzi, sauna, pool, recreation equipment or cinema).
From the dates or season, the budget, the number of guests, to the facilities and amenities you would like on board. Knowing in depth all the details that are of interest to you will allow us to advise you, recommend the most suitable option and help you to better organise your itinerary.

They will also be able to give you advice and recommendations to help you plan your experience.
Once you have decided on a yacht and secured its availability, we will send you the documentation to confirm your booking.
5. Sign the contract
Once the booking has been made, the fifth step is to draw up of the contract.
At OceanLux we use MYBA contracts, which are an industry standard and can provide you greater peace of mind that you have made a good decision.
All charter contracts are made between the client and the yacht owner. However, any problems that may arise, your consultant will help you find a quick solution.
6. Plan your itinerary
Knowing all your preferences, your expert consultant will help you take the sixth step by planning every detail of your personalised trip, so everything goes smoothly.
They will also send the captain a sheet with the tastes and requests of all the guests, so that the crew can offer them exactly what they want on board.
Although this is an operational aspect, it is also related to your itinerary. Your advisor will also take care of the advance provisioning allowance (or APA), which normally covers fuel, berthing expenses, food and drinks, and any other day-to-day expenses that are expected during the sailing.
7. Captain and crew
The last but not least important step is to meet the people who will lead your trip and accompany you on board of the yacht in the most professional manner.
